Tools for creating promotional material

There are lots of different tools and applications that can be used to create engaging promotional material. Here are a few ideas:

MS Word - Word can be used to create tri-fold brochures, flyers and posters, just to name a few. Lots of templates available as standard or lots more available on office online.

MS Publisher - Publisher can be used to create a range of promotional material. Lots of templates available to give you some inspiration. You should have access to Publisher as part of your Chisholm MS Office subscription.

OR using the search within each application - here are a couple of samples using PowerPoint

MS Sway - Newsletters, publications and presentations. https://sway.office.com/my

Pixlr - Image editing and creation.  https://pixlr.com/

With all of the tools, they are only as good as the content you put on them. Make sure that you use suitable language style, correct spelling and grammar (unless appropriate), and high quality imagery.

Class Activity 2

Mysty River Regional Library Services would like a flyer that can be used to market their new program  "Cooking Basics - Quick meals you can make in 30 minutes". This is a 5 week program.

Using at least 2 different tools from the above list, create a flyer for the program. Share with the class.

Critique each flyer - Constructive feedback. What do you like? What don't you like? How could it be improved?
